Music can not only improve the mood of people with neurological diseases, it can boost cognitive skills. Studies have shown that music has helped thousands of individuals struggling from dementia and other chronic cognitive and physical impairments reconnect with family, friends and caregivers.
Alzheimer’s Network is a Certified MUSIC & MEMORY℠ Center.

Alzheimer’s Network will be accepting donations of new or gently used iPod Nano’s or Shuffle’s, iTunes Gift Cards, CD’s, and monetary donations. If you are interested in donating to this project or would like more information, please call us at 503-364-8100.

Memory Screening

Worried about memory problems? If you’ve been concerned about unusual forgetfulness, or having more trouble then normal concentrating, remembering names or previous conversations, take the time to schedule a memory screening. Memory screenings will be conducted by a trained screener. Each private screening will include a standardized test and takes approximately 15 minutes. These tests can help individuals determine whether a follow up visit with a physician is recommended.

We offer community memory screening days at least once a month. Please see our online calendar to find one near you. Memory screenings will be conducted in 20-minute sessions by trained screeners. To pre-register for the memory screening, please contact the number listed with the location to schedule an appointment. APPOINTMENT REQUIRED. For additional information please contact the Alzheimer’s Network office.

*Memory screenings are now being offered by APPOINTMENT ONLY at the Alzheimer’s Network office on an ongoing basis. Please call us at 503-364-8100 to sign up for a memory screening. Free of charge.
